  1. Laboratory Solution Consultant
    This is a Laboratory Solution Consultant contract position in a Fortune 100 health care Informatics organization that is responsible for designing and deploying and supporting informatics solution. The resource will apply their advanced laboratory and technical knowledge to analyze user needs, gather customer requirements, architect and develop integrated, scalable, comprehensive informatics solutions to improve both clinical and non-clinical workflow for global clinical diagnostic healthcare customers. They will provide service and support for both in-house teams (e.g. Division level Marketing and R&D) as well as field-based employees (e.g. Sales and Field Service). Responsibilities Product and Service The Laboratory Solution Consultant will be a resource for in-house teams working on a variety of product and service development, including but not limited to • collecting, refining user needs for clinical laboratory informatics that will be used to develop informatics product and services by using the candidate’s ability to understand laboratory workflow, interpret and correlate laboratory tests for clinician diagnostic efforts. Laboratory testing extends to specimen preparation, quality control, pre- and post-analytics processes. • work with cross-functional teams to propose, recommend and architect solutions based on requirements. • architecting and maintaining solution knowledge base. Field Technical Support The Laboratory Solution Consultant will play a vital role in supporting the field implementation personnel and. The Laboratory Solution Consultant will provide advanced technical support to the field service team related to dataflows within clinical lab and how that relates to dataflows in informatics products. Customer Solution Architecture In this role, the Laboratory Solution Consultant will act as a consultant analyzing customer workflow, information systems and architecting solution using diagnostics, informatics products and service. The Consultant will be a resource for external or internal Abbott customers where higher-level discussions on overall architecture, integration, and data manipulation need to take place. Skills/Experience Requirements o Minimum 2 years of laboratory experience o A strong understanding of laboratory informatics including automation, instrumentation, and IT systems is desired. o Qualified applicants will be experienced in software configuration with strong business and requirements analysis skills. The ideal candidate will have excellent problem solving and communication skills. This position will require significant interaction with field personnel and customers. Other competencies such as the ability to work in team-oriented environments, adaptability and high initiative are also critical. Educational Requirements Associate or Bachelor's degree in Medical technology/Biology/Chemistry or clinical laboratory science. Formal education in IT/IS is preferred.   2. Business Intelligence Analyst
    This is a Business Intelligence Analyst contract position in a Fortune 100 health care Informatics organization that is responsible for designing, deploying and supporting laboratory business intelligence solution. Business Intelligence Analyst would be responsible for the implementation, and support of mission-critical enterprise Business Intelligence solutions. Looking for a candidate with passion for analyzing large and complex data sets and converting them into the information that drives business decisions. The successful Consultant will possess experience in business intelligence systems, data warehousing and software implementation in customer-facing roles. They will provide service and support for both in-house teams (e.g. Division level Marketing and R&D) as well as field-based employees (e.g. Sales and Field Service). Responsibilities • Works with internal /external clients to scope requests, develop analytics plans and deliver insights • Define and document conceptual solutions to Business Intelligence requirements in conjunction with customer resources. • Perform analysis of complex issues, and provide recommendations to operations and product teams. Interact with internal users to establish and clarify requirements in order to develop analytics needs. • Develop Business Intelligence solution customizations and/or coordinate with other team members to complete such customizations. • Support delivery of the reporting, dashboard, ad hoc and analytics requests from end customers • Prepares business intelligence product and training material Skills/Experience Requirements Experience in at least three of the below technologies: • Experience with BI/Stats tool (Tableau, R, Python) • Experience with creating and maintaining reports/dashboards/data visualizations. • SQL Development and Debugging • Data Warehouse Development, ETL, OLAP • BI Visualization Tools (BIRST, Tableau, Pentaho, Business Objects, Cognos) • Master Data Management • Healthcare specific business intelligence (informatics) The ideal candidate will have excellent problem solving and communication skills.   3. IT Project Manager
    This is a IT Project Manager contract position in a Fortune 100 health care Informatics organization to provide an internal support function to promote and sustain effective project management across Informatics Service organization. This individual’s primary goals are to lead service organizations activities to release and deliver application portfolios, as part of corporation’s integrated, comprehensive solutions to clinical diagnostic healthcare customers. The Project Manager works with the R&D, Marketing, and Service team members by providing ongoing leadership and optimization of project management and business processes that support delivering comprehensive informatics solutions to global IVD customers. The PM works across-functions to focus on issues and solutions for project execution. The PM plans, coordinates, prioritizes, measures and communicates the overall activities toward the achievement of its mission. CORE JOB RESPONSIBILITIES 1. Responsible for implementing and maintaining the effectiveness of the Quality System 2. Establishes and implements standardized and integrated project planning, execution, and control processes. 3. Establishes and maintains project management documentation systems and processes. 4. Ensures high quality data and on time delivery of deliverables and reports to the organization. Establishes and implements metrics programs for standardizing, measuring, and improving processes. 5. Liaison to the R&D, Marketing, and customer executive team throughout the project life-cycle. 6. Organize Project team and establish appropriate decision making bodies 7. Identify and mitigate risks to provide resolution of project issues, escalate when necessary. 8. Responsible for understanding, facilitating and executing project deliverables based on departmental strategies, processes, workflows. 9. Coordinates resources allocation. 10. Facilitates Project Team meetings. 11. Interface and collaborates with the Program management to support business objectives. SKILLS/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS 1. Knowledge of regulations and standards affecting IVDs and Biologics. 2. 2+ years project management office experience. 3. Advanced project management certification (e.g. PMI Project Management Professional PMP). 4. Recognized leader in tools and techniques of project management and/or business excellence. Proficiency with project management technology tools (e.g. CA Clarity, Microsoft Project). 5. Strong organizational skills with the ability to work in a matrix environment. Education Requirements Bachelor or Associate degree in Science, Project Management, Engineering or Business related field.   4. Informatics Systems Engineer
    This is a Systems Engineer contract position in a Fortune 100 health care Informatics organization responsible for designing and architecting IT Infrastructure solutions for laboratory informatics product offerings. The resource will apply their advanced technical IT and networking knowledge to analyze user needs, gather customer requirements, design, deliver, and support an integrated, scalable, standardized and comprehensive informatics solutions to improve the IT Infrastructure and architecture for global clinical diagnostic healthcare customers. They will provide service and support for both in-house teams (e.g. Division level Marketing and R&D) as well as field-based employees (e.g. Sales and Field Service). The Systems Engineer will play the following roles: 1. In-House Technical Expert: In this role, the Systems Engineer will be a resource supporting in-house teams working on a variety of projects, including but not limited to: • Specify and document Informatics product specifications and configurations to meet requirements of new and existing service offerings. • Research, identify, test, certify, and select IT infrastructure technology products required for Informatics solutions in a medical lab environment. • Develop, critique, and modify tools to design solution that can integrate well in our customer’s data centers. • Design in-house IT infrastructure to support customer needs as well as maintain standard installation configurations of customer solutions • Work with cross-functional teams to propose, recommend and architect solutions based on requirements 2. Field Technical Support: The Systems Engineer will play a vital role in supporting the field implementation personnel. The Systems Engineer will serve as Subject Matter Expert (SME) in platform and network technologies including system availability, security, scalability and load balancing decisions and trade-offs that are the paramount concern. 3. Sales and Marketing: The Systems Engineer will play a vital role in supporting the commercial teams (Sales and Marketing) by providing advanced technical support during the pre-sales phase as well as acting as a consultant offering technical recommendations to ensure the solution being sold to the customer will fit the needs of the IT infrastructure and architecture. 4. Customer Service & Support: The Systems Engineer will be a resource for problem solving and developing technical recommendations and implementation plans for system architecture in a networked environment. Skills/Experience Requirements: Minimum of 2 years of formal IT technical experience is required. Candidates must demonstrate strong knowledge of general networking, server technologies/ services, workstation/desktop technology, internet protocols, remote connectivity and Microsoft Windows skills. MCSE certifications is a plus. Areas of expertise should also include virtual server, corporate virus protection products, back-up systems, firewalls, VPN client and tunnel technologies. This position will require significant interaction with field personnel and customers. Other competencies such as the ability to work in team-oriented environment, adaptability and high initiative are also critical.
